Day 2 ~ Brawley to Blythe, CA

Today's ride started a bit earlier due to the extreme temperatures. At 5am it was already in the 90's, by noon it was 108 degrees. Plans have changed a bit. Brent rode 92 miles today to Blythe where it was decided that he would sleep 8 hours and start riding in the evenings. At least until he is passes all the desert areas.

At just after 8pm he is heading out again with just spandex bibs on and an orange reflective vest (of course his helmet too).

This picture is not that great but it's a nice visual of the outfit if you haven't already pictured it:

(you can giggle now)

Miles ridden today: 92
Total to date: 206

  2. Safe riding cowboy -- I used to live in Phoenix - so get the desert heat thing -- not fund and hard to stay hydrated - hang in there!
